Christmas comes to Tecumseh this Friday, November 21st.
The evening kicks off with the annual Santa Parade, beginning at 6:00pm from Lacasse Park and ending at Town Hall. Following the parade, enjoy a variety of free family-friendly activities, including a petting zoo, public skating, horse and carriage rides, and festive meet-and-greets with Santa and Mrs. Claus in Council Chambers at Town Hall until 9:00pm.
Be sure to also check out local vendors at the Handmade Holiday Market, taking place at the OPP building plaza on Lesperance Road.
“Community spirit thrives during the holiday season in Tecumseh,” says Mayor Gary McNamara. “From the excitement of the parade to taking in all the activities offered throughout the evening, this event brings the magic of the holiday season to life. We’re looking forward to an evening filled with joy, tradition, and the spirit of giving, as well as creating memories that will last for years to come.”
To support our local community over the holiday season, donations of non-perishable food items, clothing, and unwrapped gifts will be collected throughout the evening for Goodfellows at Town Hall and the Tecumseh Arena and Recreation Complex.
It may not be as cold as the North Pole, but please remember to dress warmly and arrive with enough time to secure a spot along the parade route. Road closures will begin at 5:15pm. For the parade map and a full list of activities, head over to tecumseh.ca/christmasintecumseh.
